It’s no secret that Skiing and Snowboarding can be dangerous activities. Wiping out hard can lead to all kinds of injuries at the knees and ankles and even the shoulders if you brace your fall improperly. By including certain exercises in your programming you can help prepare your body for the forces involved in these winter sports. Balance and stability movements are a great choice for exercise selection. Strengthening exercises are equally as important.

It’s important to include corrective exercises to help restore function to joints affected by muscle imbalances as well as strengthening exercises for overall performance! If you’re unsure which corrective exercises may be best for you, performing an assessment is a great way to gain a reference point. An assessment will show you what problems might be developing or already exist!

Let’s take a look at some exercises to help avoid snowboarding and skiing injuries!
